Mr. Milton Paul Cox, born April 10, 1929, in Gulfport, MS, died at his home May 27, 2005. Mr. Cox wes a U. S. Army Veteran of WW II and served in Germany at the close of the war. He also served throughout Korea, Vietnam and in Desert Storm as a Merchant Seman. He reired after a career of 44 years in the Merchant Marines. After retirement he worked for Swetman Security for about ten years. He was a 32 degree Mason of Gulfport Masonic Lodge #422. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Delmas Cox and his mother, Willa Mae Spadoni; two sisters, Marie and Olga and five brothers, Elroy, Russell, Donald, Hebert and Huey. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Craig Cox; one son, Robert Cox of Gulfport; three daughters, Sunny Cox Cristello of Orange Park, FL, Paula Cox of Gulfport and Sherry Cox Cooley of Bay St. Louis; twelve grandchildren, Star, Tiffany, Aimee, Johnny, Jeffrey P., Sommer, Jimmy, Lynne, Jeffrey W., Audra, Rich and Lori and fifteen great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Allison, Jenna, Daniel W., Kenneth, Danniel R., Kelsey, Matthew, Ethan, Savannah, Brandon, Nicholas, Courtney, Jessica and Pearl. An out-door memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 31, 2005, at 6 p.m. at the Milton Cox residence, 16248 Lizana School Road, Gulfport. In case of rain, services will be held in the hall of St Anns Catholic Church, Hwy. 53, Lizana. Our heartfelt thanks to the staff of Trinity Hospice and Rev. Ken Hembree. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to Trinity Hospice, 6819 Washington Avenue G, Ocean Springs, MS 39564. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, O'Neal Road, Gulfport, is in charge of arrangements.
