(Minnie) Ermina Blakeney

In Loving Memory of (Minnie) Ermina Blakeney Born – April 15, 1924 Passed – December 26, 2016 Minnie was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, mother-in-law, and friend. Everyone adored her. She would welcome anyone into her life and had a strong belief in family unity as she labored by cooking all the family meals on all special occasions. Minnie loved craftwork and art. She loved to dance, listen to music, play cards and have a good time. Her infectious smile and laughter brought a smile to everyone she knew. Minnie was a Senior Volunteer for Meals on Wheels, showing her caring desire for everyone in need. She always enjoyed cruising with the Cruising Cajuns Motorhome Club. Minnie was a loving, caring mother-in-law filled with fun adventures when hunting for antiques and never knowing when the next antique would be found. Minnie is now in the House of the Lord smiling down on us all. Minnie was preceded in death by her husband, David H. Blakeney, Sr. She is survived by her son, David Blakeney, Jr, daughter, Mia Blakeney Tolliver, sons, Mitchell D. Blakeney and Rick D. Blakeney; her granddaughters, Michelle Blakeney Harlan, Ashley Blakeney Kazery, Lisa Ann Blakeney Powell; grandson, Gary S. Wilcox; and her great-grandchildren, Jadan Kazery and Jordan Kazery; and Julianne Marie Powell.
