Chief Petty Officer Mitchell E. Debose, age 73, of Biloxi, MS, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025 in Biloxi.
Mitchell Debose was born on January 20, 1952 in State Line, MS, to parents Clarence and Ora Lee Debose. He graduated from State Line High School in 1970 and attended some college throughout his career in the Navy.
Mr. Debose was a retired US Navy veteran. He was a USN Chief Petty Officer. After he retired, he worked as a NJROTC instructor at O’Bryant High School in Boston.
He enjoyed golfing, camping and watching football in his free time.
He is preceded by his parents, Clarence and Ora Lee Debose.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mona J. Debose; sons, Mitchell E. Debose II (Alexadra D’Eramo) and John (Michele) Picard; grandchildren, Auriella Debose, Devon Picard and Alec Picard; siblings, Clarence (Betty) Debose, Henry (Barbara) Debose, Arthur (Janice) Debose, Brenda D. Mosley, Donnie (Margaret) Debose, and Shirley D. Thompson as well as his beloved dog, Chuck.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at 12:30 p.m. at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Pass Road in Biloxi. Friends and family may visit at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at the Biloxi National Cemetery.
