Mittie Ladner Husley

Mrs. Mittie L. Husley, 92, of Woolmarket, died Friday, December 4, 2009, in Gulfport. Mrs. Husley was a native and lifelong resident of the coast. She was a lifelong member of Coalville United Methodist Church. Mrs. Husley was preceded in death by her husband, Orin W. Husley, Sr.; son, Orin W. "Mack" Husley, Jr.; parents, Emerson and Amelia Ladner; step-mother, Josephine "Tuggie" Ladner; sisters, Minnielou Davis and Ruth Husley; and brothers, Erston Ladner, Vert Ladner and Buck Ladner. She is survived by her daughters, May Nell (Gil) Holland and Linda H. (Charles) Boyett; son, E. J. (Charlotte) Husley; daughter-in-law, Martha Husley; sisters, Kate Lee (Paul) Smith and Sandra "Tunie" Ladner; sister-in-law, Vera Ladner; nine grandchildren, Gilbert Holland, III, Kurt Holland, Teri Husley, Monica Mason, Kendall Husley, Lindell Husley, Darlinda Boyett-Campbell, Emerson Husley, II, and Samuel Husley; sixteen great- grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Visitation is Friday, December 11, 2009, from 5 until 8 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 675 Howard Avenue, Biloxi. Funeral services willl be 11 a.m. Saturday at Coalville United Methodist Church in Woolmarket where friends may visit one hour before service time. Interment will follow in Coalville United Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials be made to Coalville United Methodist Church, Pew Fund, 12298 Shorecrest Rd., Biloxi, MS 39532.
