Monica Shannon Bozzetti, a resident of Houston, Texas, passed away on May 12, 2021. She is survived by her parents, her beloved Springer Spaniel, Emma, brother Kirk Bozzetti of Florida, his wife Fernanda and son Miguel.

She was born in Marietta, GA, on October 24,1974, to Carolyn and Sergio Bozzetti. Monica attended Cy Fair High School in Houston, Texas, where she was a serious competitor on the tennis team. In 1995, Monica attended The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in NYC as a student of musical theatre. After AMDA, she graduated from The New School in NYC with a degree in Psychology. Over the course of ten years, she was an educator and ESL coordinator with Harmony School of Excellence in Houston, TX, where she influenced the hearts and minds of students and colleagues became her family.

Monica loved travel and adventure. Over the years, she traveled to many places including France and Italy, and she lived in Georgia, Kentucky, Mexico City, Mississippi, the Caribbean, New York and Texas. Gifted with a truly amazing voice, Monica loved to sing and play the guitar, especially Janis Joplin’s “Bobby McGee” and songs by Jewel and Simon and Garfunkel. Friends, family, and co-workers will deeply miss Monica’s contagious laugh, unwavering loyalty, and cheeky sense of humor. God equipped Monica with a unique capacity to fully enter into both the joys and struggles of those she loved. Her unconditional love and selflessness will continue to deeply impact all that knew her.
