Morton Hurst Davis, age 79, of Pass Christian, Mississippi, passed away Saturday, October 5, 2024. He is survived by his son, Craig Davis, his grandchildren, Rebecca Davis and Alexander Davis, his brothers Michael Davis (Susan) and Bryan Davis, and his loving companion and friend Becky Dillistone. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion Hiller Davis and Hazel Irma Freibert Davis, and his brothers, Charles Davis and Frederick Davis. 

Morton was the founder and operator of Morton’s Seafood in Madisonville, Louisiana until he turned it over to the capable hands of his niece, Dawn Davis. He was an entrepreneur and a visionary, always having an eye and the innate ability to create something from nothing. He was an avid fisherman and never knew a stranger.

Services for Morton will be held at Holy Family Church on Friday, October 11, 2024 with visitation at 10am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am and interment immediately following at Live Oak Cemetery in Pass Christian.
