Mr. Jessie Gray Bellew

Mr. Jessie (Gray) Bellew, 80, died Wednesday, April 9, 2008 in Long Beach. Mr. Bellew was born in Saucier, MS and had been a life long resident of the Gulf Coast. He attended First Baptist Church of Long Beach and was retired from the City of Long Beach. He was preceded in death by his mother, Laura Bellew, father, Preston Bellew, two brothers, R.J. Bellew and Valley Bellew. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Veda Bellew, daughters, Sherril Witt and Linda Rodriguez of Calhoun, GA, Sue Edwards of Long Beach, Theresa Coates of Saucier, an only son, John Bellew of Long Beach, a sister, Euna V. Brown of Biloxi; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank Dr. Curtis Broussard and the staff of Trinity Hospice for their care. Visitation is Sunday, April 13, 2008 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Services will be Monday, April 14, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. Both will take place at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes.
