Mr. Johnnie L. Joiner

Mr. Johnnie L. "Bill" Joiner, age 88, of Ocean Springs, MS., died Friday, March 25, 2005, in Ocean Springs. He was a native of Hazelhurst, MS., and had been a coast resident for the past 44 years. Mr. Joiner retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding as a painter. After his retirement he ran his own lawncare business. He was a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Ocean Springs. Mr. Joiner was preceded in death by his first wife, Jannie E. Joiner and a son, Lewis Joiner. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Joiner, three daughters, Earnestine Williams, Mary Ann Joiner, all of Ocean Springs, and Cheryl Joiner of Biloxi, two sons, Kenneth C. "K.C" Joiner of Tupelo, MS., and Rev. Claudia Joiner and wife, Sarah, of Irvington, AL., a special caregiver, Valinda "Tip" Joiner of Ocean Springs, brother, H.W. Joiner of Hazelhurst, twenty grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Saturday, April 2, 2005, from 9-11 AM, with an 11 AM church service, all at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Ocean Springs. Burial will follow in D'Iberville Memorial Park. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
