Mr. Patrick Joseph "Burger" Lyons, Sr.

Mr. Patrick Joseph "Burger" Lyons, Sr., 49, of Biloxi, left this earth on January 9, 2006, to find peace with our Lord. He was a native and lifelong resident of Biloxi and graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1974. He went on to graduate from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in Perkinston where he was a member of the football and baseball teams. He then attended Morehead State University in Kentucky on a football scholarship. Mr. Lyons was a professional truck driver/mover for Gollott & Son's Transfer & Storage, Inc. for over 25 years. He served the Mississippi Gaming Commission as Investigator and Bingo Commissioner for the last 10 years. He was a member of B.P.O.E. #606 in Biloxi, the Knights of Columbus Council #24, and the Slavic Benevolent Association. Mr. Lyons was a past member of St. Michaels Catholic Church and was currently attending Nativity B.V.M. Catholic Cathedreal. He was a loving father and enjoyed coaching his sons and local youth in various sports. He was a hard-working and devoted father, son, brother and friend to all who knew him. Survivors include two sons, Patrick J. Lyons, Jr. and his wife, Kimberly, and Thomas A. Lyons, all of Biloxi; his parents, Kenneth and Germaine Sablich Lyons, of Biloxi; three brothers, Kenneth J. Lyons and his wife, Barbara, of Nashville, TN, Thomas W. Lyons and his wife, Debbie, of Kennett, MO, and Barry S. Lyons and his wife, Marsha, of Biloxi and numerous other family members and friends. Visitation is Wednesday, January 11, 2006, from 5 till 8 p.m. at the Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at Nativity B.V.M. Catholic Cathedral where friends may visit one hour before service time. Interment will follow in Southern Memorial Park
