Mrs. Allie M. Turnage, age 77, of Biloxi, MS., died Monday, April 4, 2005, in Gulfport, MS.
Mrs. Turnage was a native of Collins, MS. She had been a coast resident for the past 33 years. She was an Army wife for over 21 years, following her late husband, John, to many different Army posts. Mrs. Turnage was an avid Bingo and Bunko player. She was also a member of VFW Post #6731 Ladies Auxiliary and was of the Methodist faith.
Mrs. Turnage was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, John M. Turnage, son, John Eddie Turnage, sister, Barbara Shoemake, and brothers, Bob Magee and Boyd Magee. She is survived by three daughters, Judith E. Gibson and husband, Patrick, of Horn Lake, MS., Janet E. Weller and husband, Dave, of Blacksburg, SC., and Beverly A. Austin of St. Martin, two sons, Chris Turnage and wife, Stacy, of Ocean Springs, and Milton Turnage of Florida, one sister, Ella Napier of Collins, MS., three brothers, Joe Magee, Jeff Magee, both of Collins, MS., and Chris Magee of Pensacola, FL., ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 7, 2005, from 6-8 PM, at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. On Friday, April 8, 2005, there will be a 2 PM chapel service also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery.
