Mrs. Evelyn (Tootsie) Thibodeaux Lassere

Mrs. Ethelyn (Tootsie) Thibodeaux Lassere, age 69, of D'Iberville, MS., died Sunday, May 14, 2006, in her D'Iberville home. Tootsie was born and raised in the Biloxi-Ocean Springs area. She was an avid Bingo and card player. She was a member of the Church of the Redeemer Episcopal Church, the North Bay Carnival Association, a charter member of the Mystic Masqueraders Carnival Club and the first residing queen, longtime member of the Fleur de Lis Society Ladies Auxiliary, the St. Martin Community Club, Jolly Travelers of Biloxi, Happy Hour Card Club, Pokeno Club and Wednesday Night Card Club. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, her parents, Wilson and Ruth Thibodeaux, brother, Terry Thibodeaux, special cousin, Dorothy Fink, grandchild, Crystal Lassere and several aunts and uncles. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Lee Lassere of D'Iberville, four sons, Joseph Lassere and wife, Janie, of Biloxi, MS., Glenn Lassere and wife, Liz, of St. Martin, Tom Lassere and wife, Carla, of Biloxi, MS., and Frank Lassere of D'Iberville, sister, Betty Hebert and husband, Ray, of Texas, and their children, Daryl, Diane, Danny and Debbie, and their families, sister-in-law, Bobbie Thibodeaux of Ocean Springs, MS., and her family, Greg and Laura, and their children, two foster sons, Danny Hickey and wife, Arlene, of Texas, and Robert Schatzman and wife, Lyra, of D'Iberville, eleven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and many other good friends and family. Visitation will be on Friday, May 19, 2006 from 3-4 PM, with a 4 PM Memorial Service, all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home.
