Mrs. Helen M. Gerrish

Mrs. Helen M. Gerrish, age 101, of Ocean Springs, MS., died Tuesday, May 10, 2005, in Ocean Springs. Mrs. Gerrish was a member of Lemoyne Baptist Church, a member and past worthy matron of Eastern Star Chapter #39 of Ridgewood, N.J., for 50 years. She was also a member of Discovery Homemakers in Ocean Springs. She was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Gerrish, a son, Robert R. Gerrish, parents, Ernest and Clara King, and a brother, Oscar T. King. She is survived by a daughter, Claire (Frederick) Kitch of Ocean Springs, a sister, Edna King of Patchogue, New York, four grandchildren, Dr. David S. Kitch, Charles H. (Donna) Kitch, Jillane Landreth, and Nycole Little, four great-grandchildren, Cory, Joey, Tracy, and Billy, and four great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Friday, May 13, 2005, from 6-7 PM, with a 7 PM chapel service, all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. Burial will be on Monday, May 16, 2005, in Washington Memorial Park, Mt. Sinai, NY. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations be made to the Lemoyne Baptist Church, 15005 Lemoyne Blvd., North Biloxi, MS. 39532.
