Mrs. Mary Lou Burns

Mrs. Mary Lou Burns, age 73, of Ocean Springs, MS., died Sunday, May 14, 2006, in Ocean Springs. Mrs. Burns was a resident of the community for nine years. She was a loving homemaker who loved word puzzles and was a big fan of Court TV. She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Sally Smith, a sister, Ann Hutchinson and a brother, Lynn Ray Smith. Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Kevin Burns of Ocean Springs, MS., two sons, Rudy Miller of Heath, TX., and Joey Miller of Elgin, TX., two sisters, Sandra Shipman of Lee Summitt, MO., and Janet Sparkman of Edna, TX., and a brother, Joe Rex Smith of Weatherford, TX., three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 16, 2006, from 6-8 PM, at the Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs. On Wednesday, May 17, 2006, there will be a 10 AM service in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 417 Security Square, Gulfport, MS., 39507.
