Mrs. Mildred L. Brown

Mrs. Mildred L. Brown, age 84, died at home on Sunday, April 24, 2005, in Ocean Springs. Mrs. Brown was a native of the Lancaster, Pennsylvania area and was a resident of Ocean Springs for over 30 years, having first moved to the area in 1969. She was married for over 64 years to the late Albert J. Brown, Jr. who predeceased her in 2002. She was the daughter of the late Paul and Ada Mohler of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She attended the First Baptist Church of Ocean Springs and the Christus Victor Lutheran Church of Ocean Springs. She was still actively participating in the Ocean Springs Garden Club, the Mississippi Opera Association and several ladies' card clubs. Survivors include her four children, Ms. Wendy Evans of Lakeland, Florida, Rev./Dr. Albert Jack Brown III of Phillipsburg, PA, Mr. Donald R. Brown of Madison, MS., and Rev. Steven M. Brown of Ocean Springs, nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, sisters, Anna Mary Buggia of Saginaw, MI and Marion Varner of Lancaster, PA. Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 27, 2005, from 9 AM - 12 Noon, with a 12 Noon service, all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Park. The family requests memorials be sent to the First Baptist Church of Ocean Springs, 602 Washington Avenue, Ocean Springs, MS. 39564 or to the Christus Victor Lutheran Church, 2755 Bienville Blvd., Ocean Springs, MS. 39564.
