Ms. Mildred Marie "Millie" Sturtevant

Ms. Mildred Marie "Millie" Sturtevant, 47, of Biloxi, MS, died Saturday, December 17, 2005, in Metairie, Louisiana. Ms. Sturtevant was a native of Biloxi and a lifelong resident of the coast. She was a 1976 graduate of Biloxi High School and a graduate of the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Ms. Sturtevant was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Fellowship Chapter #388 and the International Order of Rainbow. She lived in Columbia, MS 9 years where she was head of the respiratory and cardiology departments. She was currently working with the Biloxi V A Medical Center as the lead technician in the cardiology department and also in the respiratory therapy department at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport. Ms. Sturtevant was preceded in death by her father, Sidney Joseph Sturtevant; grandparents, Edwin J. and Elizabeth W. Albert and Leslie O. and Mildred M. Sturtevant, aunt and uncle, Wilson and Jean Albert, Wildon W. Albert and Aunt Esther V. Sturtevant. Survivors include her mother, Elizabeth Albert Baker of Biloxi; two sisters, Jo Rushing and her husband, Harold, of Latimer, and Penny Goldsworthy and her husband, Thomas, of Biloxi; uncles, Leslie O. Sturtevant and Jules L. Sturtevant both of Ocean Springs; nephews, Sidney W. Rushing of Mobile, Cody Goldsworthy and Orion Goldsworthy, both of Pensacola, FL; niece, Ashley E. Rushing of Latimer and cousins, Wilson, Theresa, Sarah, Laura and Martha Albert of Holden, LA and David Albert of Jacksonville, FL Visitation is Tuesday, December 20, 2005, from 5 till 8 p.m. at the Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi with recitation of the Rosary at 6 p.m. and Order of the Eastern Star Service at 6:30 p.m. Funeral services will be Wednesday in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m..
