MSgt Carl William Harbin, USAF, Ret.

MSgt Carl W. Harbin, USAF, Ret., 81, of Biloxi, died Sunday, February 14, 2010, in Biloxi. Mr. Harbin was born in Houston, MS, on April 23, 1928. He served his country in the United States Air Force for 27 years. He was also employed with Civil Service at Keesler AFB 17 years. He was a 3rd Degree Mason of Masonic Lodge #67 in Houston, MS and a member of Lemoyne Blvd. Baptist Church. Mr. Harbin was preceded in death by his first wife, Maude Harbin; daughter, Martha Jane Bassett; parents, William Newton and Mary Jane Harbin; two sisters, Norma Avery and Dorothy Duke; and a brother, Lawrence Harbin. Survivors include his wife, Virgie N. Harbin; sons, James Harbin, Bobby (Tammy) Ladner, Dale Ladner; Bennie (Rachel) Ladner, Mark (Charlotte) Ladner; daughters, Ellen (Tracy) Steck, Janet (Matthew) Clark, Penny (Timmy) Ferguson; sisters, Peggy Wright, Margie Crocker, Ella (Charles) McNatt; two brothers, Rufus Harbin and Donald Harbin; grandchildren, Melissa Blair, Christopher Bassett, Amanda and Jacob Clark, Jennifer Ladner, Stephanie (Ben) Whitt, Justin Ladner, Dustin Ladner, Ricky and Teresa Pitts; three great grandchildren; and one special cousin, Barbara Criddle, and many other cousins. Pallbearers will be Bobby Ladner, Dale Ladner, Bennie Ladner, Mark Ladner, Dustin Ladner, and Christopher Bassett. Visitation is Wednesday, February 17, 2010 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 675 Howard Avenue, Biloxi. Funeral services are Thursday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery with full military honors.
