Myrle Stewart

Mrs. Myrle B. Stewart, age 81, of Ocean Springs, MS., died Friday, May 2, 2008, in Ocean Springs. Mrs. Stewart was a resident of the community for 51 years. She was an accomplished seamstress and cook and a hard working, loving wife, mother grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, John M. Stewart, Sr., her parents, Ezell and Lela Blackwell, and five sisters, Ovie Ryals, Agnes Stewart, Rosalie Owens Carter, Alvie Blackwell and Pauline Blackwell. Survivors include three daughters, Doris (Roy) Franklin, Judy (James) Williams and Dana Salmons, all of Ocean Springs, MS., a son, John M. (Carolyn) Stewart, Jr., also of Ocean Springs, MS., thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Monday, May 5, 2008, from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM, with a 2 PM chapel service, all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Park.
