Myrtie Alberta Griggs

Myrtie Watts Griggs, former long time resident of the Gulf Coast, died on November 20, 2007. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Biloxi. Mrs. Griggs was preceded in the death by her husband, John Glandfield Griggs, Jr.; parents, Willard Watts and Sarah Anner Martin; sisters, Isola Samantha Edwards, Melva Almedia Kemp, Elva Susie Hoover; brothers, Sterling Lee Watts, Truett McComb Watts. Mrs. Griggs is survived by her sons, Randall L. Griggs (Linda) of Jackson, Richard W. Griggs (Diane) of Gulfport, Thomas R. Griggs (Cathy) of Baton Rouge, LA, Donald G. Griggs (Sally) of Biloxi, Barry L. Griggs (Kim) of Biloxi, John G. Griggs, III (Phyllis) of West Virginia; fifteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren. Visitation is Friday, November 23, 2007, 6:00pm until 8:00pm. Service will be Saturday, November 24, 2007 at 10:00am. Both will be held at Howard Ave. Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes.
