Myrtle Bang Waltman

Myrtle Bang Waltman, age 79, passed away on Friday, October 13, 2023 in Perkinston, MS.

Myrtle was born on May 28, 1944. She was a lifelong resident of Vancleave, MS. Myrtle loved gardening, making flower arrangements, and working in the yard.

She was preceded in death by her mom and dad, Hesiciah “Babe” Bang and Mrs. Lula Bang of Vancleave; brothers, Stallworth Bang, Worthen Bang, Stanford Bang, Lawson (Sam) Bang, Namon Bang, and Earl Bank; sisters, Mrs. Patty Williams, Mrs. Valley Bang, and Miss Ola Mae Waltman; 2 grandsons; and 1 granddaughter.

Survivors include her brothers, Ras Bang and Bud Isaac Bang of Vancleave; sisters, Mrs. Shirley White of Vancleave and Mrs. Annie (Jack) Covacevich of Ocean Springs; sons, Steve Waltman of Vancleave and Timothy Edwin (Jacqui) Waltman of Texas; daughters, Verdie Mae (Johnny) Bradley of Gautier, Threasia Waltman of Vancleave, and Sherry Ann (Scott) Sutterfield of Vancleave; 17 grandkids; and numerous great-grandkids.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday October 18, 2023 at the Vancleave Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home. Friends may visit one hour prior to service. Interment will follow at Beulah Cemetery. The Vancleave Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is honored to serve the Waltman family.
