Nan L. (Lloyd) Harrison, 86, of Biloxi, MS passed away on Friday, May 12, 2023 in Biloxi.

Nan was a lifelong resident of Biloxi, who graduated from Sacred Heart Girls Academy and worked for South Central Bell and the Harrison County Tax Assessors Office before retiring. After retirement, she began traveling around the world to see locations such as Rome, Spain, Germany, Hawaii, and took multiple cruises through the Caribbean, but she always came home to Biloxi, happy to see friends and serve her community in her own ways.

She was a lifelong member of St. John’s Catholic Church, now Blessed Seelos parish in Biloxi. Nan’s faith was very important to her as she set the example for her family, she practiced her Catholic faith her entire life. She had a servant’s heart. It was not uncommon for her to cook and deliver food to the Redemptorist priests who retired in Biloxi, and her friends and neighbors. She had many friends and acquaintances, but she considered her friend, Father Warren Drinkwater, CSsR and Yvonne Newman Braun, her friend for over 80 years, as a part of her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred G. Harrison; her sons, Murray Patten and Stephen G. Harrison; her parents, Murray and Ura Lloyd; and her brother and sister-in-law, Norbert W. Lloyd Sr. and Eva Lea Lloyd. They and her friend Father Warren have welcomed her home to heaven with open arms.

Nan’s survivors include her son, Fred “George” (Cheryl) Harrison; her grandchildren, Ross Aaron (Dominque) Duffy, Leicee Guiou and Kullen Rabon; several great-grandchildren; her nephews, Deacon Norbert (Jane) Lloyd Jr., Josh (Mary) Lloyd and Chris (Linda) Lloyd; her niece, Michele Lloyd Moore; and many great-nieces and nephews.

“Nanny will be sadly missed by her friends and family. The family and I find great comfort in the fact that she had a very deep faith God, and ‘practiced’ her Catholic faith her entire life. Her faith was not only something that she professed with words, but more importantly, her faith was professed by the way she lived her life. Her faith was ‘Living and Active’, and she set a good example for us to follow”. Norbie
