Nancy Knox Morris, 70, passed away at her home in Biloxi, Mississippi on Friday, January 18, 2019. She was born in Humbolt, Tennessee to Repps Knox and Mary Elizabeth Richards Knox on July 7, 1948. She grew up and graduated high school in Trenton, Tennessee. She graduated from The University of Mississippi in 1970 with a Bachelors in Sociology, Psychology and Criminal Justice. She was the first female to obtain a degree from Ole Miss in Criminal Justice. At the time of her death she was employed with Department of Homeland Security/FEMA as a Hazard Mitigation CEO Specialist for 14 years.
Nancy was preceded in death by her father, Repps Knox; mother, Mary Elizabeth Knox; and brother, James Knox. She is survived by her niece, Elizabeth Knox Kirkpatrick (Ben); great-niece, Ashley Blake Owens; great-niece, Jordyn Owens; great-nephew, Tanner Owens; and great-great niece, Adaleigh Gann. She is also survived by her closest companion, her pet, Cam.
There will be a memorial at Beauvoir Methodist Church on Pass Road in Biloxi at 11:00am, Wednesday, January 23, 2019.
