Naomi Burns

Mrs. Naomi Ann Burns, age 93, of Ocean Springs, MS., was called to the side of her Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 18, 2005. Mrs. Burns was born in Lawrence, Kansas, on August 19, 1912, and lived in Ocean Springs for thirty years. She was a member of Belle Fountain Baptist Church and also lent her support to Wesley United Methodist Church. She was a Christian and a loving, loyal and forgiving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Col. Fred M. Burns USA (Ret.). She is survived by her six children and one stepchild: Daughter, Barbara Burkhard and husband, Charles (Chuck), of Ocean Springs, MS., Mickey Burns and wife, Julia, of Lancaster, CA., Frederick Burns and wife, Pat, of Meridian, MS., Kevin (Corky) Burns and wife, Mary Lou, of Ocean Springs, MS., Thomas Burns and wife, Kay, of Nashville, TN., Pete Burns and wife, Renea of Mobile, AL., and Brian Burns of Biloxi, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 20, 2005, from 5-7 PM, at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. On Wednesday, December 21, 2005, there will be an 11 AM chapel service in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Park.
