Naomi Schanbacher Coleman

Naomi Schanbacher Coleman, 89, a native of Gulfport, MS passed away on Sunday, August 8, 2021 in Gulfport. Naomi was preceded in death by her parents, Ora Schanbacher and Ethel Tadlock Schanbacher; her beloved husband, Calvin Erskine Coleman, Sr.; her sister, Mary Lou Pinkston; her son, Michael George Hill; and her daughter, Lynda Huggard. She is survived by her sisters Ila Ruth Holland (William) and Lois Ann Shaw; her son, Richard Hill; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Naomi was a member of Nugent United Methodist Church. She loved the Lord with all of her heart, and we are grateful that she is now in her heavenly home. She leaves behind a legacy of courage, tenacity, and good will towards others. We encourage you to celebrate her life by living and loving like Jesus. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donation be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. A private graveside service was held on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Gulfport, MS. Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home, O'Neal Road, Gulfport, is honored to serve the Coleman family.
