Nell Weems Davis

Nell Weems Davis, age 92, of Vancleave, MS, died Saturday, August 11, 2012, in Ocean Springs. Nell was a native of Columbia, MS. and an active member of First Baptist Church of Vancleave. She enjoyed being a member of the Fort Bayou Homemakers Club for many years, Young at Heart, church choir and being with family and friends. She had a special love for God, her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Nell met the love of her life, Buddy Davis, at age 22, and they were happily married for 32 years and had 4 beautiful children. She was preceded in death by her parents Sidney and Sarah Weems and husband Olin H. (Buddy) Davis Survivors include her children Barbara (Bob) Haygood, Charlotte (Douglas) Bosarge, Howard (Donna) Davis, and Pam (Jesse) Locke; grandchildren Stewart (Stefanie) Bosarge, Kristi (John) Barlow, April Bosarge, Vicki (Joe) Zuccarello, Justin (Brooke) Sward, J.D. Locke, and Lindsey (Blake) Power; and great grandchildren Cody Bosarge, Anthony Zuccarello, Anna Zuccarello, Elisa Barlow, Laney Yarbourgh, Silas Bosarge and Leah Bosarge and numerous other relatives and friends that she cherished so much. Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 14, 2012, from 5 pm until 7pm at The First Baptist Church of Vancleave. On Wednesday, August 15, 2012, there will be an 11 am service at the church, where friends may call one hour prior to service. Burial will follow in Vancleave #1 Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to the Young at Heart at First Baptist Church of Vancleave or the Gideons International. The Vancleave Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
