Nell Glavan Kirsch

Nell Glavan Kirsch, age 81 of Gulfport opened her wings to fly home to be with her heavenly father on Wednesday, January 18th at her home surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jube and Carrie Lindsey; a sister, Maxine Gay; a daughter, Judy Carolyn Witt; several brothers; also the father of her children, Howard Thomas Witt, Sr. Survivors include her husband, Sam Kirsch; sons, Tommy Witt, Terry Witt (Becky); daughter, Cindy Witt; grandchildren, Jessica, Mandy, “Jamie” Stacy Witt, Chris, Allison, and Stephen; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Jake and Francis Lindsey; many nieces and nephews; three step-children; and many dear friends. She was a member of Red Hat Society, Krewe of Gemini, Moose Lodge Ladies Auxiliary #332, American Legion #119, Auxiliary Elks Lodge # 606 and several other organizations along the Gulf coast. She was employed by Biloxi/Ocean Springs Yacht Club, and the Grand Casinos in Biloxi and also Gulfport. Nell loved life to the fullest. She loved to shop, going to social events, gardening, home and family. Nell was loved and will be missed by so many. (Mom, I love you so- Cindy). The visitation will begin at 11:00 Monday, January 23, 2012 at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport with service in the chapel at 1:00 p.m.beginning with an Elks Memorial Service.
