Nelson Loper

Mr. Nelson Loper, 43, of D'Iberville, MS, passed away June 16, 2009, in Biloxi, surrounded by family and close friends. Mr. Loper was a 1984 graduate of D'Iberville High School and was employed with Northrop-Grumman 12 years. Nelson was a loving husband, father, godfather, uncle and friend. He was an avid outdoorsman, member of Longshot Hunting Club and Volunteer for Woolmarket Youth Sports. He loved hunting, fishing, off-roading and being with family and friends. Mr. Loper was preceded in death by his mother, Elois Dyess. He is survived by his loving wife, Jackie Winterstein Loper, his three loving sons, Zacharey, Tommy and Trenton; father and step-mother, Joe and Nancy Loper; nephews, Christian, Jacoby and Mark; nieces, Megan and Brittany; godson, Erick Thacker; and his very close friend, Brian Thacker. The family would like to especially thank Dr. Christopher Shelby for all his love and support and the staff at Biloxi Regional Medical Center ICU. Visitation is Wednesday, June 17, 2009, from 6 until 9 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue, in Biloxi. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Father Dominick officiating. Interment will follow in Swetman Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service will be Lawrence Beaugez, Steve Chamberlain, Jeremy Delmas, Jack Ewing, Stephen Hilton, Dean Martel, Joe Nacol, Pat Nacol, Kenny Nelson and Ted Williams.
