Nguyen Van Nguyen was born in Thai Binh Vietnam on December 29, 1968. He passed away on Friday, July 10, 2021, in New Jersey at the age of 52. He migrated to America in 1981 and grew up in Biloxi, MS. Nguyen was a commercial shrimper for many years in the Biloxi Gulf Coast, where he had 3 commercial shrimp boats. He named the boats after his children, Miss Dana, Princess Mai and Andrew Tu. One of Nguyen’s greatest accomplishments was in 2001 where he was named the “Shrimp King” at the annual Blessing of the Fleets ceremony for his contribution to the shrimping industry in Biloxi. In 2003, Nguyen moved to Philadelphia and started his wood flooring business. He was very talented and skilled with all aspects of home remodeling and construction. Nguyen was a great father, brother and friend to everyone he met. Not only was he kind but he was very generous with a big heart and always had a big smile on his face. Nguyen loved to tell stories and make people laugh. He is survived by his parents Duc Van Nguyen and Xim Thi Nguyen and his 6 siblings. The eldest brother Hanh-Phila, sister Sara Nguyet-Austin, sister Christine Ngoan-Denver, sister Diane Ha-Las Vegas, brother Cong-New Orleans and baby brother Thanh-Austin Texas. He is also survived by the mother of his 4 children, Diem Vicki Nguyen and his beloved four children, Dana Van, Jamie Mai, Alex Tu and Andrew Hieu. Services are as followed: Saturday, July 17, 2021 Prayer Mass- Le Phat Tang 11:00 a.m. at Vietnamese Martyrs Catholic Church. Sunday, July 18, 2021 Visitation from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Howard Avenue then Mass at 5:00 p.m. at Vietnamese Martyrs Catholic Church. Monday, July 19, 2021 Visitation from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Howard Avenue then Mass at 5:00 p.m. at Vietnamese Martyrs Catholic Church. Tuesday, July 20, 2021 Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Vietnamese Martyrs Catholic Church follow by burial at Biloxi Cemetery.
