Nina Mae Darnell

Nina Mae Darnell, 76, was called home Tuesday, October 14, 2008 in D'Iberville. Nina was a member of the same church for 40 years, now Ramsay Hills Baptist Church of Vancleave, MS. She gave to others all she had and lived her life for her family, children and especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her, but she is now rejoicing in glory with our Savior. She is preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Lola Sphond, sister, Eileen Underwood, son, Captain Michael S. Darnell, grandson, Matthew Darnell. She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 56 years, William L. Darnell, sisters, Glenna Scott and Eva Houston, both of Amarillo, TX, daughters, Debra Ladner and Sandra Jarrell, grandchildren, Janelle, Venus, Michael S., Joshua, Phillip, Vanessa, Melissa, William, Rebecca, Jessica, Veronica and great-grandchildren, Ryan, Kelsie, Austin, Dara, Ethan and T.J. Survivors also include scores of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Service is Monday, October 20, 2008, 11:00 a.m. at Ramsay Hills Baptist Church where friends may visit one hour prior to service. Interment will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery.
