Norma Lou Cottrell

Norma Lou Cottrell, age 91, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2016. Mrs. Cottrell has been a resident of Ocean Springs since 1957. She will be remembered for her great sense of humor, her love of music, her love for animals, and her generosity. Her greatest joy was her family. Norma is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Cottrell; her great-grandson, Montgomery Wallis; her parents, Thomas J. Hamm and Clara McGee; and three siblings. Norma's survivors include her daughter, Sharon (George) Wallis; her son, Bobby (Katherine) Cottrell; her two sisters, Theresa Wilson and Bobbie Wilson; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home on Monday, January 2, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A service will be held at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations be made to the Jackson County Humane Society, 4400 Audubon Ln, Gautier, MS 39553.
