Norma Isabelle Gale, 93, of Gulfport, died peacefully at her home on Monday, January 23, 2006. Mrs. Gale was born in Point Coupee Parish, Louisiana on May 25, 1912. She was a former longtime resident of California, moving to Gulfport in November, 2001. Mrs. Gale was a graduate of Sacramento High School, where she graduated with an accounting honor. While residing in California, she was a faithful member of her church in Seal Beach. She was a retired escrow officer with the Bank of America. She was an art collector and avid bridge player. She was a member of AARP and St. Joseph Catholic Church, Gulfport.
Mrs. Gale was preceded in death by a nephew, Earl F. Verrett and a great-niece, Peggy Bernard.
She is survived by her nephew, Eugene G. Verrett, of Gulfport; nine great-nieces and nephews, David E. Verrett, Denise Marie Kaiser, Stephen E. Verrett, Andrew J. Verrett, Peter E. Verrett, Julie A. Alphonso, Cynthia M. Simpson, Michael J. Verrett, Linda K. Stumpp; fifteen great-great nieces and nephews; and three great-great-great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 26, 2006 from 5 until 8 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, O'Neal Road, Gulfport with a Scripture Service at 6:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, January 27, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Gulfport, where friends may visit 30 minutes before the Mass. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Los Angeles, CA.
