Mrs. June Boudwin Stewart, 86, of Vancleave, MS, died Friday, July 22, 2011, in Vancleave.
Mrs. Stewart was born in Biloxi and remained a lifelong resident of the Gulf Coast. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Michael Catholic Church where she served as the former choir director, lector and eucharistic minister. She was also a member of the Fleur de Lis Society and the Golden Age Club, She was a former member of the Gulf Coast Opera Salon and Les Danseuses Carnival Association.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Stewart; parents, Clarence and Edmay Leleaux Boudwin; brothers, Shelton Boudwin and James Boudwin, and a step-grandson, Douglas Hart. Survivors include her daughter, Carol (Billy) Hart of Vancleave; grandchildren, Angela Batia, Tina (Steven) Weaver; step-grandchildren, James (Donna) Hart, Deidre Hart and Tracey (Steve) Morgenstern; six great grandchildren; six step-great grandchildren; three special nieces, Tony Davenport, Vickie Manderson and Connie Clark.
In Lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to St. Michael Catholic Church Building Fund, 177 1st Street, Biloxi, MS 39530.
Visitation is Monday, July 25, 2011, from 5 p.m. unti 8 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue, in Biloxi. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 12 noon at St. Michael Catholic Church where friends may visit one hour before service time. Interment will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery.
