Mr. Norman A. Otto, age 75, of Biloxi, died Saturday, March 8, 2008 in Pasadena, TX.
Mr. Otto was a life long resident of Biloxi graduating from Notre Dame High School in Biloxi and serving in active duty with the Army National Guard, 115th Unit, AAA Gun Battalion, Battery C, during the Korean War from 1951-1953. He received a Masters Degree in Business from Mississippi State University and served over 25 years as a vocational counselor with the State of Mississippi and Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. He was a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Rebecca Otto; a brother, Joseph Otto; and a son, Christopher Otto.
He is survived by three sons, David (Lisa) Otto of Pasadena, TX, Michael (Suzanne) Otto of Pass Christian, and Mark (Gina) Otto of Gulfport; three sisters, Antoinette (Donald) Gray of Albany, GA, Lillie (Tony) Melone of Bethesda, MD, Elaine (the late Jerry) LeBlanc of Moss Point; a brother, Antoine (the late Betty) Otto of Jackson; six grandchildren, Linden (Sean) Coulter, Carlin Otto, and Kimbel Otto of Pasadena, TX, Andre Otto of Pass Christian, Michael Brown and Kathryn Otto of Gulfport; his former spouse, Joyce Peel of Carabelle, FL; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 14, 2008 from 6 until 8:00 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church, Gulfport where friends may visit from 12 until 1:00 p.m.. Entombment will follow at Biloxi City Cemetery, Biloxi.
