Norman Reed Roberts-Fountain, age 71, of Biloxi, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2024.
Norman was born on April 23, 1952 to the late William Russell Roberts and Esther Bangs. He graduated D’Iberville High School and earned his Associate’s degree from MGCCC, Perkinston Campus. Norman served 4 years in the United States Navy and served four cruises on USS Kennedy. He worked several jobs over 35 years at the VA Medical Center as a respiratory therapist and in administration. He will fondly be remembered as “The Candyman” and for his famous pralines and apple fritters.
Norman is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Wayne, W.M. and Larry; sisters, Linda Carrol and Ester May.
Left to cherish his memory include his son, Joshua Roberts-Fountain; siblings, Betty Roberts, Floye Graham, Elda Ray Havard, Kay Roberts and Alfred (Ernest) Roberts; and by his four-legged companions, Estodo Fountain and Natasha Bonae Fountain (Baby Girl).
The family would like to extend a special thank you to his best friend, Mr. Wes Conerly for helping out and stepping up during these last few months.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations in his memory to be made to St. Jude’s, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue in Biloxi from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
