O'Delle Scarbrough O'Neal

O’Delle Scarbrough O’Neal, 90 years old, of Saucier, passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2018. Mrs. O’Neal was a longtime resident of the MS gulf Coast. She was a member of Poplar Head United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and painting. She was also a beautiful, spirited, and loving mother, grandmother, and friend, who will be missed by all that knew her. Mrs. O’Neal is preceded in death by her husband, L.E. O’Neal, Sr.; her parents, Douphus and Clarrisey Scarbrough; her siblings, Jean Fallo, Agness Alvarado, Willis Scarbrough, Doc Scarbrough, And Alex Scarbrough; and her children, Clarissa O’Neal, Selena Marie O’Neal, and Anita Funk Southworth. Survivors include her children, Gwen (Perry) Thompson and Eli O’Neal, Jr.; her grandchildren, Catrinna (Keith) Graham, Katie (Nick) Papania, Monica (Steven) Kinsey, and Lesley Southworth; her great-grandchildren, Chantel (Ben) McNeese, Trey Rogers, and Landrum Rogers; and her great-great-grandchildren, Vann and Grey McNeese; and other nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Poplar Head United Methodist Church of Saucier on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. with interment following directly afterwards. Visitation will be held an hour before, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Poplar Head United Methodist Church or your favorite charity.
