Mrs. Odessa L. Lamb, 77, born to Samuel and Chellie Lee, left us to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, January 28, 2008, after a valiant fight with cancer.
Mrs. Lamb was a gracious lady loved by family and friends around the country. In her career as procurement officer at CBC Gullfport, She received many accommodations and achievement awards for a job well done. Mrs. Lamb was selected Federal Woman Employee of the Year two consecutive years. She always said her success was due to hard work and those who worked with her.
Mrs. Lamb was a faithful member of Broadmoor Baptist Church where over the years she held many positions, married and raised her children.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husbands, Edmond A. Stone and Gerald M. Lamb. Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn James and her husband, John James, of Gulfport, and Cynthia Olivier and her husband, Gerald Olivier, of LaCombe, LA; three grandchildren, Kellie Stockert, Denise James and Connor Olivier; a great granddaughter, Amber Stockert, and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Lamb had a veracity for life and will be sorely missed by family and friends.
The funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, January 30, 2008, at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street Chapel, in Gulfport where friends may visit one hour before the service. Interment will be in Hickory Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Lumberton.
