Ola Mae Rogers

Mrs. Ola Mae Herron Wooten Rogers, age 77, of Ocean Springs, MS., died Monday, September 7, 2009, in D'Iberville, MS. Mrs. Rogers was a longtime resident of Ocean Springs. She was born on April 1, 1932 in Sardis, MS to Louis & Octa Clark Herron. She owned and operated Ola's Snowballs for many years. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Joe Lee Wooten, Sr. & Johnny Rogers, and her son, Foy L. Wooten. Survivors include three sons, Flavius Wooten (Margie), Joe L. Wooten, and Wayne Wooten (Josie); three daughters, Tannis Carol Hammond, Cheryl Ford, and Lisa Bond (Daniel); sister, Betty Wilson; brother, Bobby Herron, daughter-in-law, Henrietta Wooten; six grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren, one-great grandchild, and four great-stepgrandchildren. Graveside services were held at 3 PM on Saturday, September 12, 2009, in Crestlawn Memorial Park. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
