Olida “Deta” Bourn Bourriague was born to Mr. Joe Forrest Bourn and Mrs. Mildred Holland Bourn on July 30, 1947 in Traverse City, Michigan. She departed this life on May 13, 2005. Deta was a graduate of D’Iberville High School. She joyously attended First Pentecostal Church of Biloxi, MS. She was employed by Gollott’s Seafood of D’Iberville for many years and also by Gulf Medical Supply. Deta was united in marriage to Allen Bourriague, January 26th, 1991. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Rev. Charles Edward Bourn and Rev. Kenneth Joel Bourn, sister-in-law Mercelyn Slade Bourn, grandparents Rev. & Mrs. Hiram Holland, Rev. & Mrs. Frank Bourn, and great-nephew Dillon Joseph Jones. Surviving Deta, to cherish her memories is her husband, Allen Bourriague and two sons: Gareth Bourriague and Jonathan Bourriague both of Biloxi, MS; Her parents Joe Forrest Bourn and Mildred Holland Bourn of Biloxi, MS; one brother, Rev. Joseph Jerome Bourn of Houston, TX; one sister, Shirley Dunaway of Biloxi, MS; and a host of loving uncles, aunts, 18 nieces and nephews, numerous great-nieces and nephews, along with a host of faithful friends. Services will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2005 at the First Pentecostal Church of Biloxi. Visitation will be held at the church from 4 pm to 6 pm. The funeral service will begin at 6 pm. Rev. Paul Springer, her pastor, will be officiating the service. The church address is 1907 Popps Ferry Road in Biloxi. MS. There will be a graveside service held on Monday, May 16, 2005 at 11:00 am at New Bethel Cemetery in Jayess, MS. Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home of Biloxi is in charge of the arrangements.
