Olivia Wooten Dean

Olivia Wooten Dean, age 84, of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025.

Olivia was a recent resident of Ocean Springs. She was born in Raleigh, North Carolina and previously lived in Charlotte, North Carolina and Las Vegas, Nevada for 35 years. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Raleigh. Olivia had a long-time career in banking and financial services. Throughout her lifetime, she also enjoyed a second career in interior decorating and design. She was a longtime member of the Junior League in Las Vegas. Her favorite hobbies included flower arranging and furniture shopping with her husband. She was also an avid reader and loved to play cards.

Olivia was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and will be deeply missed by all that knew her. She had a zest for life and an adventurous spirit. She carried herself with grace and dignity throughout her lifetime.

Survivors include her loving husband of 67 years, Dale K. Dean Sr; and her four children, all of whom currently reside in Ocean Springs, Dale K. Dean Jr, Karen Olivia Dean, Christopher Derek Dean and Ginger Dean Dartez and husband Glenn M. Dartez. She is also survived by her three grandchildren, all current residents of Ocean Springs, Katie Dean Farkas (Kitty) and husband, Ben, Madie Dean Ludwick and husband, Matt and Christopher Jacob Dean (Jake).

Olivia was extremely proud of her children and grandchildren and loved each of them dearly. She was always their strongest advocate and supporter, encouraging them to follow their dreams.

Memorial service will be held at Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue in Biloxi on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 12 noon. Friends may visit one hour prior.
