Ollie "Nene" Jeannene Walters

Ollie “Nene” Jeannene Walters, 70, of Corinth, MS passed away Saturday, May 11, 2024 in Florence, AL. Jeannene was born January 20, 1954 to John Rayford and Marteal Gill.

Jeannene received an Associate’s Degree from Copiah - Lincoln Jr. College Lab Tech. She was a loving mother of two children and grandmother of seven grandchildren. She was also a mom to our dog, Cocoa. She enjoyed reading, sudoku puzzles, and shopping.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John Rayford and Marteal Gill; and brother, Johnny Gill.

Survivors include her spouse, Johnnie W. Walters, Jr; children, Kelly Sutherland (Paul) and Kristopher Scott Walters; grandchildren, Eli Walters, Kristin Walters, Sonny Walters, Shaylee Walters, Athena Sutherland, Ben Sutherland, and Caleb Sutherland; siblings, Richard Earl Gill (Alice), Lynn Gill Campbell (Jerry), and Kathy Gill Mckinnon (Gill); and loving pet, Cocoa Walters.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital. They would also like to thank Travis and Tammy Childers, Benny Hubbard and Troy Griffin, and The Landmark Nursing and Rehab Center's staff Advanced Healthcare Management.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Monday, May 20, 2024 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. Friends may visit one hour prior. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park.
