Ollie Mae Bailey Robinson was born to the late Robert Bailey and Mary Ikard on January 24, 1957, in New Orleans, LA. On the morning of November 13, 2021, at Memorial Hospital at Gulfport, God saw her body was getting weary and called her into eternal rest. Ollie graduated from Francis T. Nicholls Senior High, attended Southern University at New Orleans, and retired from New Orleans Regional Transit Authority. Ollie was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Alphonse Ikard; and sister, Mary Louise Wagner. Ollie leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Kearston Robinson Cado (Albert Sr.); three grandchildren, Brijuhn, Jadyn, and Albert Cado, Jr.; brother, Roosevelt Bailey (Barbara); sister, Gwendolyn Wallace (Milton); devoted companion, James Harris; four Godchildren, Tori Bailey, Jimmie Jackson (Hannah), Dionne Robinson, and Nerissia Buxton-Carroll; one aunt, Ruby Stewart; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. The family sends a special thank you to the 6th floor and ICU staff at Memorial Hospital at Gulfport. The family prefers donations to the American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692, in lieu of flowers. A Memorial and Celebration of Life service will be held Monday, November 22, 2021, at 2PM at the National Association of Letter Carriers 124 Hall at 4200 Elysian Fields Ave, NOLA 70122.
