Mr. Ollie Vernon Coker, 82, of Cincinnati, OH died Monday, January 10, 2005 in Cincinnati.
Mr. Coker had been a resident of the Coast for 18 years prior to moving to Cincinnati, OH. He lived in Cincinnati for 4 years prior to his death. Mr. Coker served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked as a Signalman for the Chicago-Northwestern Railroad, where he retired after 32 years of service. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Mr. Coker was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Finnigan Coker, and his parents, Robert Ollie and Mary Boulton Coker. He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Coker Bellew, and her husband James of Cincinnati, OH; his son, Michael Vernon Coker, and his wife Janice of Homer, AK; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Tuesday, January 18, 2005, 12:00 p.m. at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, where friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
