Omega Street Helveston, 92, of Harahan, La died Sunday, December 13, 2009 in Harahan. She was born in Paulding, MS and was a resident of Long Beach for most of her life before moving to Harahan after Hurricane Katrina She was Methodist. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Helveston. She is survived by a daughter, Marsha Helveston of Metairie; a grandson, Walter C. Helveston (Candace); and a great-grandson Dillan Helveston; There will be a graveside service on Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Highland Cemetery in Hattiesburg.
