Opal Lillian Toothman

Mrs. Opal Kerns Toothman, 79, of Biloxi, MS, died Sunday, December 12, 2010, in Mobile, AL. Mrs. Toothman was born in Charleston, WV and had been a resident of Biloxi since 1968. She was the former owner of Kirby Vacuman Cleaners in Gulfport. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed her pets. Mrs. Toothman was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Frances Kerns, and two brothers, Joseph and Lyndon. She is survived by her daughters, A. Suzanne (Gene) Whitney and Sherry K. (Jacky) Brady; sons, John W. (Wanda) Toothman and Michael J. (Linda) Toothman; brothers, Loren (Evie) Kerns and Roy (Nancy) Kerns; her former husband, Harry W. "Bill" Toothman; nineteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. The family prefers memorials made to the Humane Society of South MS, 2615 25th Ave., Gulfport, MS 39501. Visitation is Wednesday, December 15, 2010, from 5 until 8 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue, in Biloxi. Funeral services will be Thursday in the funeral home chapel at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in D'Iberville Memorial Park.
