Mrs. Opal Ritenour "Scottie" WynDham, 85, of Ocean Springs, MS passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2010. Mrs. WynDham was born on February 26, 1924 in Fort Valley, VA to the late Roy M. and Bernice Ritenour. She was employed by the Chesapeake and Potomac (C&P) Telephone Company of Maryland and retired with 22 years of service. Mrs WynDham was known for her excellent sewing skills and enjoyed participation in many craft shows over the past 20 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Powder Springs, GA.
Mrs. WynDham was preceded in death by her husband, Benny D. WynDham; daughter, Rebecca Ann Scott and brother, Bernard M. Ritenour.
She is survived by her children, Cindy McCutcheon, Connie Ogo of Ocean Springs, Jim Scott, Lawrenceville, GA, Robert Scott, Cape Charles, VA, Michael Scott, Manassas, VA, Susan Oelze, Powder Springs, GA, Maria Wonders, Colonial, VA and 16 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank Dr. Christopher Shelby and the staff at both Ocean Springs Hospital and Singing River Hospital for their wonderful care and concern for Opal, while in their care.
Funeral services will be private. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the charity of your choice in Opal WynDham's name.
