Oral Harper

Mr. Oral Harper, age 84, of Ocean Springs, MS., died Sunday, October 11, 2009, in Pascagoula. Mr. Harper was born in West Virginia and lived most of his life in Centerburg, Ohio, and had lived in Ocean Springs for the past twenty eight years. He served in the Army during WWII spending most of his time at Pearl Harbor. He retired from North American Rockwell Aviation where he had worked on the Apollo Space Program. Mr. Harper was preceded in death by his parents, Coy and Bessie Harper, three brothers, Roy, Bud and Dewey, a grandson, Ryan Kirby and great-grandson, Seth Kirby. Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Lilly Harper, daughter, Kay (Frank) Kirby, all of Ocean Springs, MS., granddaughter, Kristina Stewart and great-grandson, Ethan, both of Palm Bay, FL., sister, Shirley Howard of Ohio and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 13, 2009, from 6 PM - 8 PM, at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. On Wednesday, October 14, 2009, there will be a 2 PM chapel service in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Park.
