Oscar Lee Noble, Sr. 78, was born May 29, 1930, died February 8, 2009 at his home in Biloxi surrounded by his loved ones.
Mr. Noble was a master carpenter and worked many years as a construction superintendent on projects in New Orleans and the Gulf Coast. He was a member of the Carpenters and Joiners of America United Brotherhood Local Union 303 for 61 years.
He was Captain and builder of the shrimp boat, "Top Secret". He enjoyed shrimping, fishing, oystering and being out on the Gulf.
He was a bee-keeper, loved to read, watch baseball and tell stories of his life.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Marie Hickman Noble, sons, Oscar "Lee" Noble, Jr. and Allen "Kerry" Noble, parents, Wilson and Agnes Noble, sisters: Eula Mae, Ruby, and Eileen, brother: Wilson "Son".
Survivors include his daughters: Joan Barnett, Bonnie Noble, Beverly (Johnny) Carroll, Patti (Tommy) Cuevas, and daughter-in-law, Mary Noble, eleven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, brothers: Frank and John Noble.
The family would like to thank Ms. JoAn Carlton, Carol Goe and Hospice of Light.
Service will be Friday, February 13, 2009, 12 noon at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes, Biloxi where friends may visit from 10 a.m. until 12 noon. Interment is in Swetman Cemetery.
