Mrs.Ottie R. Mitchelson, 84, of Gulfport, MS. died Friday, June 10, 2005 in Gulfport. Mrs. Mitchelson was a native of George County, MS and a resident of the coast for the past 70 years. She was employed at Keesler Air Force Base for 34 years as supervisor of stock records. She also worked at Camp Shelby for 5 years. Mrs. Mitchelson was a member of Missisippi City United Methodist Church. She was a craft enthusiast, enjoyed painting, porcelain ceramics and crocheting. She had won multiple awards for her craft work in Stone County and Mississippi State Fair. She was also a volunteer for Senior Crafters. Mrs. Mitchelson was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin I. Mitchelson; her parents, Albert J. and Ansabelle Havens Reeves; her sisters, Eloise Rosetti, Zona Huff, and Iva Whittaker. Survivors include two daughters, Mary Yost of Columbus, OH. and Sarah Stanley and her husband, Charles J., of McHenry; a sister, Callie Davis, of Gulfport; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Monday, June 13, 2005, at 11 a.m. at the Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi where friends may visit one hour prior to service. Burial will follow in Southern Memorial Park.
