Mrs. Ouida (Bonnie) Jarrell, age 67, a resident of Vancleave, MS., passed away after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer, on February 6, 2008. She was a dedicated civil servant retiring from the federal government after 25 years and was involved in numerous charities throughout her lifetime. She was an active member of Fort Bayou Baptist Church of Vancleave, MS. Mrs. Jarrell was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Kenneth Jarrell, her mother, Norma Mitchell, father, Frank L. Coe, and two sisters, Virginia (Ginny) Webb and Sylvia Menasco. Survivors include her daughters, Michel Rushing of MS., Karen Jarrell of VA., and Deana Hanson of TX., her sons, Mark Mashall of IN., Eddie and Van Marshall, and Dallas Floyd, all of TX., her sister, Linda Pennington of AK., and brother, David Menasco of TX. On Friday, February 8, 2008, there will be a 12:30 PM graveside service at Biloxi National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers she and the family prefers donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, ATTN: Memorial/Honor Program FH, One St. Jude Place Building, Memphis, TN., 38148-0552, or to The Children's Miracle Network. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
