The loving, caring, generous and spirited soul of our beloved Pam Colle departed from us unexpectedly in the early hours of Tuesday, August 2, 2022. With husband Al and their K-9 daughter, Savannah, at her side, Pam passed from this life while being held and supported by those she loved.. Our broken hearts are soothed only by the sure faith that her Lord is at her side and our separation is only temporary
Pamela Kaye (Stodghill) Colle was born in Jackson, Mississippi, the second daughter of Mr. Charles Stodghill and Mrs. Vera Grubbs Stodghill Makamson. A class of 1973 graduate at Callaway High School in Jackson, Ms., she attended college at the University of Southern Mississippi and the University of South Alabama. In 1988 she married Al Colle, of Pascagoula, Mississippi whom she met while he was earning a degree from Mississippi College. They were the perfect match and lived happily together for 34 years.
Pam had a career as a dental assistant, followed by a second career as a photographer and crew member partnering with Al in their videography business. Pam's passion for animals was shared by Al, leading her to volunteer with the Audubon Zoo, Audubon Nature Center and Aquarium of the Americas in New Orleans, as well as the Institute for Marine Mammal Studies. Pam's heart for the human family led her to work at the March of Dimes and to actively participate in local theater. Pam's trademark quote about life was, “All I ever wanted to do was be a good person”. Job well done, good and faithful servant.
Pam's boundless energy was best expressed with her beloved friends and family. She was funny, positive, confident, brave and open. Pam treated everyone with respect and dignity regardless of their status, station or standing. She dearly loved and was devoted to her husband, Al and was tailor made just for him. Love so strong will carry them until they meet again.
Pam is survived by her Husband, Albert Daniel Colle (Al); K-9 daughter, Savannah; step-sister, Sheryl M. (Anthony) Thomas; nieces, Marie Thomas Sanderson (Brian), Elizabeth Thomas Yates (Parker), E. Anthony Thomas Jr. (Katie); three great nephews and five great nieces; nephews, Patrick (Shelley) and John Gough; great nephews, Tanner and Thomas Gough; great nieces Mary and Caroline Gough; and brother-in-law Daniel Olson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Vera Stodghill; step-father, Durell Makamson; sister, Diane Gough Olson; and brother-in-law, John Gough.
Al would like to express his heartfelt gratitude to all the family and friends who have reached out to help and support him and Savannah during their time of loss and pain. Al also invites you and encourages you to join him and Pam's loved ones at the Celebration of Life for Pam to be held at Scranton's Restaurant, 623 Delmas Ave. in Pascagoula, Ms., on Monday, August 29th from 6-8 PM.
