Pamela Kay Prima

Pamela Kay Prima, 54, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2007 in Hatttiesburg, MS, after a very brief illness. Pamela was born August 8, 1952 in Gulfport, and was a lifelong resident of the Gulf Coast She was Catholic. She was an exceptionally talented hair stylist, a protege of the late Jheri Ellis. She loved her family, and was always there to help them, in good times and bad. She loved being out in the sun, being on the water at the islands, and was a great lover of good music. First, and foremost, however, was her love for her four sons, who were her pride and joy. She was a loyal and loving friend, who loved to laugh and had a delightfully wicked sense of humor. Pamela was preceded in death by her loving father, Milton Sylvester Cuevas. She is survived by her sons, Hugh William Melton III, James Leon Prima and his wife Amanda, Joseph Lyle Prima, Anthony William Prima, grandson Garret Melton, granddaughter Kaylei Prima, her mother, Pansy Bates Cuevas, her brother, Milton (Mike) Cuevas, and his wife, Karen, two nephews and one niece, and a host of friends who loved her dearly. We have been stunned by her loss, but know that she is in the arms of her gentle Lord Jesus. Visitation will be held Sunday May 27, 2007 at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home on O'Neal Road in Gulfport, from 3 to 5 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 29, 2007 at 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
